We just wanted to take a moment to wish you a happy Chinese New Year. Today, 1 February, is the first day of the Year of the Tiger. Your Chinese sign is probably Tiger if you were born in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986 or 1998.
Both Xiaofang and I have strong Chinese connections (she was born there, as was my grandfather), and we like to nurture them. That said, we don’t share all of the traditional beliefs about the Chinese zodiac! Such as that if your sign is Tiger then, in order to ward off bad luck, you need to wear red underwear until the next year starts on 22 January 2023.
We’d just like to wish you ‘gongxi facai’ (health and prosperity).
