We are delighted to feature an interview with Ryan Zhao, operations director of Golden View UK Ltd. Golden View (China) Technologies, Inc. (formerly known as "Golden View Computer Information Service Co., Ltd") is a professional translation and localization service provider with corporate offices in Shenzhen, China and branch office in London, UK.

Why did you come to UK in the first place?

As Sole Representative of a China headquartered company, to set up business in the UK. It was also for my child's education.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome when you started doing business in the UK?

Business cultural differences.

What do you most like about the UK?

London, one of the greatest cities in the world, mixed with heritages and modern.

What do you see as the biggest opportunities in the UK for Chinese businesses?

Education, property and immigration. Maybe there are more, e.g. luxury goods exported from UK to China.

What do you most want Chinese people to know about the UK?

History, Culture, Creativity and Humour.

What is the best piece of business advice you have been given?

Never give up, focus.

What would be your dream job if you didn’t work in business?

A writer.

What is your biggest extravagance?

Purchase a diamond ring in an auction for my wife.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Cambridge.

What piece of advice would you give your 25-year-old self?

Love and live the life, without fear.
