Self delusion is an important skill, and one which I share with Homer Simpson in many aspects of my life. Sometimes this requires intense effort, such as at passport renewal time – when it’s increasingly hard to deny the fact that I’m not as quite youthful-looking as my photo from 10 years ago.
Some large corporates seem to be equally adept at this, for example those who say that their intercompany agreements are “fine” – when they know that they haven’t been systematically checked for conformity with their transfer pricing policies – or with how their group actually works. This is something that we cover at our upcoming webinars, including the one on 11 October (which is for technology-rich groups), and on 16 October (which is specifically for legal counsel in multinational enterprises). Places are free, but are allocated on a first come, first served basis. You can reserve your place here.
